There is a part of you that believes:

But your body doesn’t open
where you abandon yourself.

Your pleasure doesn’t expand
where you shrink.

At some point
you have to stop trying to be chosen…
and start choosing yourself.

That’s the work.

And it’s not always soft. It means feeling what you’ve been avoiding.
Meeting the parts of you you’ve been bypassing.
Letting your anger, your truth, your desire exist.

who is done shrinking.

dear woman,

i know you know the feeling of being too much.
the moment your chest tightens,
your belly cramps,
your shoulders tense.

so often you were told you are too much
that you closed.
you chose to over-masculinise.
to hide the raw, sensual power
resting in your womb space.
to play small.

and somewhere along the way
you stopped trusting your own inner authority,
and learned to follow the leadership of the outside world,
instead of your own body,
your womb,
your knowing.

afraid of your wildness.
your emotions.
your truth.

so you shrink.
you abandon yourself.
you try to be holdable.

but what if your too muchness
is not the problem
but the doorway?

a space where women stop shrinking
and dare to be fully expressed
ignites something ancient in other women.

because we are here
to initiate each other.
to see each other.
to stay.
