after the rain.. such clarity! walking towards the lake for a pranayama sitting with a patient. the air was so frisk and still saturated with humidity. no one else around, just got drunk from beauty and nature. the sun sent sparkles on the lake. we did silent breathing observation, ajapa japa , of so ham and recitations, supported by the sounds of nature.

What if care begins not outside of us, but through the simple act of touch?
In this 3-hour immersive workshop on Gozo at the beautiful Ayurveda healing placer Sheshaveda, we explore the traditional Ayurvedic understanding of oil application, self-massage, and nervous system nourishment through warm oils, mindful touch, and daily ritual.
Ayurveda has used oils for thousands of years not merely for the skin, but for calming the mind, supporting sleep, grounding the body, softening tension, and creating a deeper relationship with oneself.
Together we will explore:
• the traditional role of oils and fats in Ayurveda
• how different oils affect body and mind
• warming versus cooling oils
• herbal oils and their traditional applications
• how oil is applied in classical Ayurveda
• the connection between touch, rest, and the nervous system
The practical part of the workshop includes guided self-massage techniques for:
• face and jaw relaxation
• head and scalp oiling
• hands and palms
• feet and grounding techniques
• simple marma point applications for chest and upper back
Participants will receive a detailed handout for home practice.
No previous experience is necessary.

A 3-Hour Ayurvedic Workshop on Cyclic Living

The body does not move in straight lines.
In Ayurveda, health is understood through rhythm: the rhythm of day and night, the seasons, digestion, rest, emotion, and the changing phases within a woman’s life and monthly cycle. Classical Ayurvedic medicine describes these natural rhythms through concepts such as dinacaryā — the wisdom of daily routine — and ṛtucaryā — living in harmony with the seasons and environmental changes.
In this gentle and grounded workshop on Gozo, we explore how cyclic living can support hormonal balance, emotional stability, rest, digestion, and nervous system regulation.
Together we will explore:
• the menstrual cycle through an Ayurvedic perspective
• changing needs during different cycle phases
• rest versus activity throughout the month
• food and herbs traditionally used in women’s care
• warming and cooling practices
• daily rhythm (dinacaryā) for hormonal support
• seasonal transitions and women’s health (ṛtucaryā)
• stress, overwork, sleep, and cycle irregularity
• simple oil applications and self-care rituals
The workshop includes:
• guided discussion and teaching
• tea and herbal tasting
• practical self-care suggestions
• breathing and grounding practices
• a detailed take-home handout with herbs, foods, oils, and cycle support ideas
This workshop is not about perfection or productivity.
