Do you take some New Year's resolutions, I know for some people, it does work 🙃

Important things to remember for the upcoming year :
👉 Don't wait for your stress level to be unbearable to act on it. It's easier to maintain an acceptable stress level, than decreasing it once it got too high.

👉 Your stress container as a tap, use it ! Any helpful copping mechanism you will find will help decrease your stress level : sport, art, cooking, traveling, wellbeing ...

👉 Identify your unhelpful copping mechanisms : drinking, stress eating, smoking, ...

Happy new year everyone ! Expressing gratitude, celebrating the end of 2022 and the beginning of 2023 should be a good start of the year - So there it goes :

💜I am so grateful to my family, my boyfriend and my friends for their support and countless kind words of encouragement. My boyfriend in particularly, he is with me every step of the way, challenging me, cheering me up, listening, and I couldn't do it without him.

🤝I am also very grateful to my customers for their trust in me and my method, I will never take it for granted. I teach people how to overcome their challenges, and it starts with them trusting me.

💥 2023 will be full of changes. I can’t wait to see how we will adapt, and I’m sure this year will be full of joy and adventures.

What’s popping you said? (trying to come back on social media like I never stopped posting)

I’m focussing a lot on my practice at the moment. I’m thankful to all the people that trust me, and let me show them that they have in them everything it takes to improve their wellbeing.

I am reflecting a lot on the direction I want my project to take - trying to use as many skills as possible and combine the topics I’m passionate about : and , especially in the workplace.

Soon it’s time to close the year and with this to take some decisions, I feel scared but I choose to adapt and follow my intuition.

While using sophrology, you'll be working towards one specific goal that you set yourself. This goal is phrased positively and always start with 'I WANT".

The amount of sessions that your sophrologist will organize to reach that goal depends on your need but the program should be (and is during my therapy programs) 100% personalized, your meditations will always call on positive feelings and sensations you had in the past.

Cette semaine, Axelle, sophrologue à Düsseldorf et membre de Dusseldorf Accueil, nous a offert une initiation à sa discipline et fait vivre une expérience de sophronisation, dans le cadre de nos rencontres Carrière +. Ironically, I was never a personal development book kind of person.
Well this has changed now but this was my very first wow effect.

Applying design thinking to life decisions is very enlightening. Design has the purpose of ANSWERING PROBLEMS so it makes perfect sense to apply those concepts to your everyday life.

I really recommend this book, it has been an eye opener for me, maybe the reason why I took the decision to do what I like instead of looking for another job right after I lost mine.

I wish everyone an amazing year 2022, full of joy, adventure and kindness to others and ourselves.

Here we go again, starting a new year and enjoying this clean slate feeling!
But many posts or article I read at the moment already tell me what to do or not this year. Others already projecting their high expectations of me tend to give me anxiety.

So, I won’t tell you what to do, nor what not to do here, but I will only share a friendly advice: “manage/balance your expectations”.

The expectation of others towards yourself,
your own expectation towards yourself or others,
or towards the world, towards a situation (covid restrictions for example),

too high expectations lead to disappointments, and too low expectations can sometime lead to loss of motivation.

Just keep this in mind in the upcoming year !

Doing nothing is being truly present. When was the last time you did nothing?

First acknowledge that you are almost never present because you are always worried or busy. At work you might worry about your kids, in the evening with your kids you worry about tomorrow at work, and at work tomorrow you will think of the evening.

As kids we learn to walk, speak, read, write, we learn respect, how to be polite... but no one taught us how to be present. As a matter of fact, we are being taught from a very early stage to constantly anticipate the future.

Let go of your worries, allow your thoughts a rest and from this break, a new perspective will emerge. You will see your situation under a brand new light, get new ideas, get creative, or at the very least, rest.

How many of you have tummy problems before attending an interview?
How many get heart burn when they feel stressed?
And you still don't believe that your body and your mind are connected?

Physical pain increases during high anxiety, some disease are triggered by stress, anything that makes our mind weaker will have a negative effect on our body.

You can't doubt anymore that your mind and your body are connected and physicians should not treat anymore the body as being isolated from the mind.
