Across the RAITH community, researchers generate remarkable micrographs every day.

The RAITH Micrograph Award 2026 is an opportunity to share those images and the discoveries they represent with a broader scientific audience.

We're looking for SEM images produced using a RAITH system or lithography attachment that showcase innovative research, novel fabrication approaches, or important scientific findings.

Submit up to three images and explain the science behind them.

The winning entry will receive a fully sponsored trip to a nano-related conference of their choice.

Deadline: October 30, 2026.

Introducing the new PIONEER: The fifth generation of RAITH's multifunctional EBL-SEM hybrid system builds on a platform trusted by researchers worldwide and adds a range of performance and usability enhancements designed to make advanced nanofabrication even more efficient.

Highlights include:
• New FPGA-based 50 MHz / 20-bit pattern generator for faster pattern generation.
• Improved stitching and overlay performance of 40 nm (mean + 3 sigma).
• Automated routines for autofocus, autostigmation, autobrightness, and autocontrast.
• Extended software capabilities, including BMP import for grayscale lithography.
• Optional load-lock integration for improved workflow efficiency.

The RAITH Micrograph Award 2026 is now open for submissions!

Each year, researchers around the world create remarkable nanostructures, devices, and experiments using RAITH systems. The Micrograph Award is an opportunity to showcase that work and the science behind it.

Submit 1-3 SEM images produced with a RAITH system or lithography attachment, along with a brief description of what they show. Unlike many image competitions, submissions are judged primarily on the work behind the image:
• Uniqueness of the nanostructure
• Technical quality of the micrograph
• Quality of the description

The winning entry receives a fully sponsored trip to a nano-related conference of choice, including registration and travel arrangements. Additional prizes of €400 and €200 will be awarded to the second and third place entries.

Submission deadline: October 30, 2026

We look forward to seeing the nanostructures, devices, and research achievements created by the RAITH community.
