Day 1 at VITRUM 2025 was a fantastic start for the Edgetech Europe team!

We welcomed visitors from across the industry and had engaging discussions around energy efficiency, automation, and the future of insulating glass.

It’s been great to see the interest in our Super Spacer® solutions and how they support both residential and commercial glazing projects with performance, precision and sustainability in mind.

The countdown to VITRUM 2025 has begun.

From 16-19 September, Edgetech Europe will be in Milan under the theme “Efficiency has many dimensions,” showcasing how the Super Spacer® system supports energy efficiency, process reliability and automation in insulating glass production.

Highlights will include the market-ready use of Super Spacer® in thin triple insulating glass (‘Skinny Triples’), now achievable with high precision on automated lines, and the growing specification of Super Spacer® in grey for commercial glazing, meeting architectural demands for both performance and aesthetics.

We look forward to welcoming visitors to Hall 11P, Stand M17 to see how Super Spacer® is shaping the future of insulating glass.

BIG - Bjarke Ingels Group - demonstrates that sustainable architecture takes many forms.

From the CO2-reduced concrete of their Copenhagen headquarters to the timber hybrid construction of Luxembourg’s Skypark Business Centre, both projects prioritise resource efficiency and energy performance.

Hoch Zwei is one of Vienna’s most recognisable office towers – a 23-storey structure defined by its convex-concave form, earning nicknames like “sails” and “croissants”.

With over 13,500 m² of glass facade, the project combines striking architecture with high thermal performance. Long-term Edgetech Europe customer Doering Glass supplied 132 curved insulating glass units for the tower’s 2,000 m² of rounded corners, each panel produced in six variations and reaching dimensions of up to 1500 x 4000 mm.

The double-glazed units were specified with laminated safety glass, PVB film, solar control glazing, low-emissivity coatings, and argon-filled cavities. Warm edge spacers from Edgetech helped the facade achieve a U value of 1.5 W/m²K and 39% light transmittance.

Screen-printed detailing was also integrated into the glass, improving privacy and visual security in key areas of the building’s facade.

Edgetech is proud to support Doering Glass and other partners across Europe who continue to specify warm edge technology for complex, performance-led projects like this.
