This program aims to support you to develop skills for intentional and fulfilling relationships while continually reconnecting with the same group of people, build trust, and explore your fierce queerness.

Growing up as part of a gender and/or sexual minority has a lot of power and gifts and can also present challenges that leave traces in the body and how we navigate the world. We often become ready to protect, defend, and move to safer places, meeting the world with necessary fierceness. A significant challenge for all of us is figuring out how to let layers of protection soften and find a way back to a sense of trust, joy, belonging and connection to ourselves and others.

Topics of the 6 sessions

💜Jan. 31th. Full Saturday: Ignite! - Personal and collective intentions. Group agreements. Intentional touch, wheel of consent, somatic approaches to self and co-regulation.

💙Feb. 5th. Thursday evening: Intimate Improvisation - Ritual play. Impulse awareness. Non-verbal consent. Intuitive touch. Playfulness as a relational skillset.

💚Feb. 28th. Full Saturday: Attachment and Belonging - working with relational roots. Meeting your drama lama. Identifying your own relational reparative experiences.

💛Mar. 5th. Thursday evening: Group Sharing on life topics - Somatic pendulations between expansion and contraction. Supportive touch. Bodywork sessions. Felt experience of body patterns.

🧡Mar. 21st. Full Saturday: Sensual Flow - Giving and receiving skin-to-skin medicine. Deepening communication skills - Empowering choice and voice. Compassionate witnessing of the naked body.

WHY TOUCH? NERVOUS SYSTEM REGULATION

Through touch, the nervous system can find regulation, which can become a safe way to revisit and integrate painful experiences from the past.

This slowed-down process helps us acknowledge and befriend the protective patterns and belief systems that are stuck in our bodies from traumatic experiences.

Moments of new awareness can let light shine through the cracks, revealing the strengths, resources and desires that lie beneath pain.
As we open to the body’s experiences, the mind follows, unlocking new perspectives and choices in life.

This three-month winter program aims to support you to develop skills for intentional and fulfilling relationships while continually reconnecting with the same group of people, build trust, and explore your fierce queerness.

Each month we will meet for a long Saturday and the following Thursday evening. These sessions will be for exploration, somatic learning, personal growth, fun, and celebration of embodied queerness.
