On my first trip to Japan—the birthplace of Reiki—I had the privilege of training under the esteemed Mochizuki Sensei. He is a Reiki Master with over 30 years of experience and more than 500,000 students, preserving and sharing the authentic and traditional practices of Usui Reiki Ryoho.

I was the first non-Japanese student in his classes and I enjoyed participating with 50 other lovely students who welcomed me warmly and helped me whenever needed.

In the Master level training I was honoured to receive a private attunement by Mochizuki Sensei himself. This experience was deeply meaningful to me and I will forever carry it in my heart.

Even after practicing Reiki for more than seven years now, this training allowed me to connect to the essence of Reiki in a more profound way and was culturally as well as spiritually such a unique experience.

I am now integrating what I have learned with Mochizuki Sensei to enrich my Reiki trainings and give my students even more insight into the traditional teachings of Reiki.

I am grateful beyond words for this opportunity. 🙏

After years of wanting to train with Hyakuten Inamoto it finally happened last weekend in Bucharest. I will be forever grateful for this experience as it taught me so much about my Reiki practice. Inamoto Sensei teaches a very traditional Japanese style of Reiki. I originally trained with William Lee Rand more than five years ago who is teaching a Western style of Reiki. This weekend brought up a lot of triggers for me as these two styles are so different and yet I realised at the end that both styles have their place and their value in the Reiki world. It also taught me (again) that in Reiki and in our spiritual practice we are progressing only if we are dropping into our heart and intuition instead of overanalysing everything and trying to control. As Inamoto said, when we are not in the heart we run in circles. Only through the practice of letting go, releasing attachment and putting our ego aside will we feel connected to the universal flow of life. And Inamoto Sensei reminded me of this: Ichi go ichi e ~ one life, one meeting or the reminder that every moment is unique and is to be experienced fully.✨
