DTP #52 - Lazercat & Naks

Our friends Lazercat and Naks let loose with their unmistakable approach on electro. Fast-paced, hard hitting, motor city fueled, no holds barred.
Hailing from Berlin, they are a cornerstone of the scene for years, far beyond the city limits. Whether it’s their past parties, their Dreams of Neon radio show on Intergalactic FM, or the Vortex Traks label. Electro for the heads.
As we were on the dance floor, we looked at each other with a smile, and we both knew: that’s exactly why we do this.

How to get to ‚Tower‘:
Go to the Kaiserbad restaurant on Karl-Heine-Straße. Use the entrance across from the restaurant to enter Westwerk. There will be a sign indicating which door to use — but you really can’t miss it. Now you just have to climb a few stairs.

DTP #51 Ester

With the start of spring comes a new mix, specially prepared by Ester.
Based in Prague, she has been shaking up the local scene for years, whether as a versatile DJ or as a promoter of various parties and listening sessions.

From electronic body music to slow and heavy oddities, from post-punk to dark ambient soundscapes. Her musical repertoire knows no boundaries or fears.
For this mix she delves deep into her magic box of wave in its various forms and from different decades to take you on a melancholic and sometimes dark adventure.

DTP #50 - Nizvidky

New year, new mix. And already the 50th in our series!
We are delighted that Nizvidky is taking this spot with a dark banger. We met her at a party organized by the Somepeople collective, the lynchpin of electronic music in Kharkiv. She plays there regularly and is thus involved in shaping and preserving the city under harsh conditions. A bravery we honor with all our hearts.

Her mix opens a door to the darker and more menacing realms of electro of recent years. Crystal-clear synths meet dark vocals, sinister basslines meet heavy kicks and drums. Analog hardware meets robotics.

The last mix for this year comes from sekta. And what a worthy conclusion to kick this year's ass.
He is based in Vilnius, where he is heavily involved in the local theater scene, but also has a monthly radio show on Radio Vilnius, which is highly recommended.
His mix is a very fitting example of what he stands for musically and soundwise.
Slow and heavy hitters, creepy drums, haunting synths, building a bridge from old to new through neatly selected tracks and dark sounds.

DTP #48 - Galaxaura

We go on with another mix full of broken beats, compiled by Galaxaura.
Always unerringly navigating between modern sounds and timeless bangers, she has found her very own musical approach over the years as a resident DJ at Spartacus Potsdam and promoter in and around Berlin and with her Label and affiliated Mix series called Galaxunity.
Her approach is characterized not only by powerful kicks and fast breaks, but she also uses her penchant for bass music to wonderfully expand the boundaries of electro.
This is also reflected in this mix: glistening synths, bass punches, stumbling drums, menacing layers.

From the depths of New Orleans comes our next mix. Thoroughly assembled by Interesting Results. Long known in her city for her versatile taste, whether in front of or behind the DJ booth, she proves this once again in this punchy musical hellride.

When most of us weren’t even born yet, Das Ding from Rotterdam began experimenting with synthesizers and went on to co-found an entire genre: minimal wave. Analog synths and drums, modular excursions, homemade effects devices, still fresher than any shock freezing could ever make it.

The duo from Rome has also successfully devoted itself to wave. Bass, synths from the 80s, vocals in French, a good dose of melancholy; what could possibly go wrong?!

Settled between stumbling drums, acid-soaked basslines, and dark sound architectures, Grischerr serves us a full electronic meal. More varied than the windows of Cologne Cathedral and punchier than a liver hook.
