Today, this is called the Cold Process method, where oils, fats, water and lye are combined to create a bar of soap. Unlike commercially produced soaps or detergents, this soap retains the naturally occurring glycerin that is produced during the saponification process. My first encounter and what inspired me to make handmade soaps was in 2001 when I was visiting the city of Cairo in Egypt and came

across a product line by Mona Erian called Nefertari. She had the most beautiful, yet simple soap bars I had ever seen. The way it felt when washing my skin was unlike any soap I had used before. It sparked my interest in how to make soap and so my “soap” journey began. After many, yes very many trial and errors I had mastered the art of soap making and it became a passionate hobby of mine. A few years later this hobby transitioned into a small business, where today I want to offer you the best soap with the best quality ingredients. Whether you want to keep it all natural and solely use essential oils and natural colorants, or rather prefer great bright colors with the latest fragrances, then rest assured, I have you covered on both ends. Over time Helena’s Soapery has expanded to a few more products, such as lip balms, body butters, bath fizzies and wax melts. To further my knowledge and to better serve my customers and their skincare needs, I attended Formula Botanica, with the successful completion of the Diploma in Organic Skincare Formulation.

Hello again Stuttgart!
Tomorrow May 4, 2023 the Stuttgart Spring Bazaar will start. We have over 80 vendors, who will display their wonderful goodies.

You will find me in the gym this time. Come by and say hello and smell some soap:)
