Annette has been asked how she manages to feel full if her lunchtime meals predominantly consist of salads. This is how!

For anyone reading this who might be concerned about the level of protein, dont worry, she's got it covered:
✅️chickpeas
✅️pumpkin seeds
✅️walnuts

And this is on top of a breakfast that included buckwheat, oats, chia seeds, h**p seeds, not to forget homemade and unfiltered soya milk.

This all helps Annette to consistently walk 5 miles a day without breaking a sweat 😅

We really love this feature concerning a new initiative at King's College Hospital in London to get seriously ill patients outside.

Our species' element was in the open and at one with nature, and we should never underestimate its power to transform. As the article mentions, patients breathe better, which is completely understandable as indoor environments, especially hospitals, restrict airflow and recycle used air.

Hopefully this will be the first of many such initiatives.

The outdoor ward, at King's College Hospital in London, will monitor how much it boosts the recovery of seriously ill patients.

This photo of us both was taken yesterday a short distance from the Bezirksamt Spandau in Berlin where we had the privilege of delivering a workshop to employees on how to use breathing to relax and unwind and how to retrain underlying breathing patterns to increase resilience.

Though it happened to coincide with one of the hottest days of the year so far, the solid thick walls of the historic Town Hall were sufficient to keep us cool!

We always feel so energised after these events in the knowledge we are sharing important tools that we all have access to that can help to:
🔸️improve sleep
🔸️better handle stress
🔸️increase resilience to challenging situations

What does the mention of carbon dioxide conjure up for you? Just something to get rid of? There's a lot more to it, and it's certainly not all negative. Not mentioned in my latest blog post is the benefit of CO² for better management of hay-fever, which is probably worth knowing at this time of year, and breathing exercises can help!

If you're frequently fatigued without an obvious reason why, despite doctors' visits and various tests, you may find answers in this very clear and accessible book.

Women's breathing and women's sleep are different from men's, but typically, any tests, eg, sleep tests, measure all patients according to a male template and women are getting routinely missed and even misdiagnosed. Breathing retraining will be at least part of the answer, which is good news because it's doable and all the effects (including 'side' effects) are positive.

If someone told you that you were born with the power to change how you feel and how you perform within a matter of moments, would it occur to you that it's your breathing?

Breathing is our gateway to our nervous system.

By changing how we breathe, we can:

✅️lower our blood pressure
✅️feel calmer
