Our colleague Yanping is on-site at the Embedded Computing Summit 2026 today, gaining first-hand insights from AMD into its latest technologies and developments, covering embedded x86 and adaptive computing, the growing role of Edge AI and Physical AI, and new approaches to AI-assisted embedded system development.

It’s also exciting to see our technology partners Advantech, congatec and Kontron showcasing their solutions at the demo booths, bringing these technologies closer to real-world applications.

Great to catch up with the congatec team and partners worldwide at the congatec Global Partner Meeting 2026.

We were very happy to receive a Gold Award from congatec. Thank you for the recognition and for the continued partnership.

Beyond the meetings and updates, it was also great to experience Lisbon together with a city tour and a local dinner.

Today at Elektronik Solution Day in Stuttgart, we took the stage together with our technology partner congatec to discuss the Cyber Resilience Act and its implications for embedded system development.

Our joint session looked at the topic from two complementary perspectives: modular computing platforms and their integration into customer-specific embedded systems.

One key takeaway: CRA readiness is a team effort across the product lifecycle. Clear responsibilities and a well-structured system architecture can help make updates, maintenance and platform evolution more manageable over time.

🧑‍⚕️How Advantech Powers a Surgical Robotics Compute Platform

Surgical robotics is moving into commercial deployment, and the OR adds constraints most compute platforms weren't built for. One surgical robotics company needed compact, reliable NVIDIA® Jetson Thor™ AI computing for the OR.

💦The challenges:
▪️ Real-time AI inference, imaging and motion control in one compact system
▪️ Conventional platforms too large, power-hungry and hard to cool
▪️ High engineering complexity integrating compute, cameras, I/O and control
