❗️INSTAGRAM vs REALITY❗️
Morning ☺️
This is a little reality check to make sure you guys understand why a professional tattoo artist might not recommend the design you’re enquiring about.
We want to guarantee you leave the studio with not only a awesome new piece but also one that will age well over time because after-all it’s going to be on your body for a very long time 😝
Here is a photo of a design fresh and healed.
You’ll notice a huge difference in not only the black ink but also the small details.
This is a great example for the reason your artist will try and sway your placement idea to an area with more room so we can make it bigger!
A lot of designs with small details just don’t heal/age well at such a small size, it’s hard to read and becomes a mess very quickly after healing.
Now let’s talk about editing, yep that’s right!
In the first photo you’ll notice the ink looks a lot darker and yes it’s partly because it’s fresh but you can see an obvious filter over top.
Doing this can lead to unrealistic expectations for the customer and they will be left confused and unimpressed with the final result once healed.
The second photo shows the design healed and worn in over a few years, no filter so you’re able to see the true healed result.
