In Iceland you gotta love grey!

And integrated got a whole new perspective on this colour. As a friend explained to me that her favourite colour is grey, I was wondering why?!

The reason is simple: it makes all the other shine more!

I love this perspective and was wondering, what is the „grey“ in people’s life that seems not that impressive, but actually supports something else entirely?

How do you react to situations that you can't control?

This is a first. I barely made my connecting flight and was the last person on the plane. Yes, that person people look at when he (finally) boards and we can take off 😅

While I made it onto the plane, my luggage didn't. So I ended up in the US only with my hand luggage.

So after clearing out my apartment, giving away many things and letting go of a lot of my possessions, I even got my backpack stripped away 😂

The relevant question though is:
How do you react to these situations?
Do you get angry at the airline?
Do you blame yourself for not planning enough time for changing planes?
Do you worry about how long it will take until you got your clothes (and everything else) back and what do you do in the meantime?

I'm spending quite some time in the hot tub (no clothes necessary there..) and guess what.. everything else is working out fine. So no need to worry 🙏😉

Insights behind the scene

I'm currently moving to Iceland because... well, it's actually just my gut feeling that it's the right move.

This also includes a huge process of letting go.
Which comes quite visible when the walls become empty, shelves are not used as storage room any longer and you turn your office space into a flea market :D

Moving abroad and clearing my apartment makes me reflect on a couple of things.

Especially, where do I feel home?
What is home to me in general?
And what is connected to it?

Letting go of a lot of materialistic things, a place I lived in for years and people as well, changes how I define "home" myself.
