Taking a little time to rest, recharge, and make some beautiful memories. 🌿☀️💛

The Rainbow Doula is officially on vacation until July 13th.

During this time, responses to messages and inquiries may be delayed as I step away to focus on family, adventure, and filling my own cup. Taking care of ourselves allows us to better care for others, and I'm looking forward to returning refreshed and ready to continue supporting growing families.

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued support. I can't wait to share a little bit of our camping adventure when I return!

Let's talk a little about TOLACS( Trial Of Labor After Cesarean) / VBACS ( Vaginal Birth After Cesarean)

A TOLAC can still be a success, even when it ends in a repeat cesarean. ❤️

One of the hardest parts of planning a VBAC is accepting that there are no guarantees.

You can do all the things.

✨ The miles of walking.
✨ The birth ball.
✨ The Spinning Babies positions.
✨ The miles circuit.
✨ The movement.
✨ The breathing.
✨ The rest.
✨ The medication when needed.
✨ The herbs and homeopathic support.
✨ The endless encouragement from your birth team.

And sometimes...your body still doesn't progress the way you hoped.

That doesn't mean you failed.

It doesn't mean your body is broken.

It doesn't mean you didn't try hard enough.

Sometimes labor takes an unexpected turn. Sometimes babies have their own plans. Sometimes the safest path becomes a repeat cesarean.

A successful TOLAC isn't measured only by whether you have a VBAC. It's also measured by the informed choices you make, the courage it takes to try, and the strength it takes to pivot when circumstances change.

You are not less powerful because your birth story looked different than you imagined.

You are not less brave because you chose a cesarean when it became the right decision.

You are not less of a mother because your baby was born through an incision instead of your va**na.

Birth is not a test of worthiness.

Whether your TOLAC ends in a VBAC or a repeat cesarean, you deserve to be proud of yourself for showing up, advocating for yourself, and making the best decisions you could with the information you had.

Every birth matters. Every mother matters. Every story matters. 🌈

Baby feet make me happy 😊
Baby D has won the award for breastfeeding champ after C-section!! She latched within the first hour like she's been here before and hasn't stopped since 🥳🙌🏾✨️ Her momma is doing an amazing job 👏🏾 we've had to advocate hard but she's doing it!!
I will be posting a follow up about misinformation about breastfeeding in hospitals...because wheeeeew I'm exhausted from these conversations!!

One of my absolute favorite sessions with clients is prenatal lactation education. 🤍

There is something so powerful about helping families prepare for feeding before baby arrives — learning what’s normal, building confidence, understanding your options, and creating a plan that feels right for YOU.

So many parents go into postpartum expecting breastfeeding to “just happen,” but the truth is that education and support can make such a huge difference. Prenatal lactation education helps families:

✨ Learn proper latch and positioning
✨ Recognize hunger cues
✨ Prepare for milk supply changes
✨ Reduce fear and anxiety around feeding
✨ Know when and where to seek support
✨ Feel empowered instead of overwhelmed

These sessions are not about perfection. They’re about preparation, confidence, and support.

Feeding your baby should never feel like something you have to figure out completely alone. Having knowledge before birth can make those early postpartum days feel so much less stressful and much more supported.
