One of the most powerful things you can do for your wellbeing doesn't cost anything.

Spend time with people you feel good around. ❤️

We often think about health in terms of exercise, food, sleep and stress management.
But our social relationships matter too.

Think about how different your body can feel after spending time with someone you trust and enjoy.

You usually feel lighter, more relaxed and more energised. sometimes also more inspired !

And on the other hand, when life becomes stressful, busy or overwhelming, one of the first things many people stop doing is seeing their friends and family.

But connection is a big part of what helps us feel better.

In fact, a major analysis of more than 300,000 people found that strong social relationships were a stronger predictor of longevity than factors such as obesity and physical inactivity — with an effect on mortality comparable to some well-known health risks, including smoking.

This is something I often think about in my work as a massage therapist.

Sometimes, what a person really needs is an hour where they can slow down, and reconnect, both with themselves and with others.

So here's your little reminder:

Who is someone you feel good after spending time with?
Maybe this week is a good time to give them a call. ❤️

When Pari first came to me, she had been dealing with neck pain every single day for at least 6 months.

On top of that, she was experiencing headaches around 4 times a week.

She was under a lot of stress, constantly tired and drained, struggling with her sleep and losing her motivation. Eventually, she ended up feeling completely burned out, and had to stop working.

During her examination, we found that her breathing pattern and muscle tension were contributing to keeping her body in this stressed state.

So instead of simply treating where it hurt, we worked on the underlying patterns.

We worked with her breathing, reduced the physical tension and incorporated acupuncture to help her body come out of that constant state of stress.

Today, Pari has been symptom-free for months.❤️

No more daily neck pain.
No more headaches.
Better sleep.
More energy and motivation.

She now enjoys going to work again and, perhaps most importantly, can be more present with her family and friends without constantly worrying about pain or how she is feeling.

Pari's story is a great example of what can happen when we find those factors and work with the body as a whole.

Congratulations to Pari walking that path !❤️

Are you over-breathing ?

A lot of people today are breathing quite fast.

Doing that gives you a lot of oxygen, but it is not all about having a enough oxygen for the body.

Your body is sensitive to the amount of CO2 you have in the body, in fact, that is the indicator that will make you feel that you need to breathe, if you stop breathing for a few second fo example.

The problem is that if you have a constant low level of CO2 in the body, as soon as you start having a bit more than usual, your body will panic and feel the need to breathe, making your breathe faster.

It also means that your body will be less efficient at using the oxygen you have and delivering it to your cells.

An imbalance between the amount of oxygen and CO2 in your body can cause various effect (fatigue, headaches, anxiety, sleeping problem, dizziness)

Thankfully they are ways to change that, by doing some breathing exercise, and CO2 tolerance training, you can teach your body to breathe more effectively and support your body's natural needs.

👉 Google what are the 10 most commons symptoms so see a doctor, and compare them with over-breathing symptoms. You will get an idea of how important this can be.

Are you escaping from pain ?

Many people try to silence pain as soon as fast as possible with pills, dirstractions, a massage.

And it is a very natural thing to do, but as uncomfortable as it might be, pain is a message.

It's telling you if you have muscle imbalance, stress, limited movement, or even your nervous system being stuck in a protective mode.

If you only try to remove it with quick fixes, without understanding why it’s there, it often comes back, and sometimes get worse over time.

Learning to listen, instead of suppress, will turn your pain into guidance. Maybe it is a life situation or habit, a mental state you need to get out of, and the sooner you realize and identify it, the better your life will be in the future.

Comment with one thing you’ve learned from your pain.

Your posture tells a story.

Have you ever noticed that when you're stressed, anxious, or holding something inside, your body changes too?

Your shoulders rise.
Your jaw tightens.
Your breathing becomes shallow.
Your chest feels a little more closed.

The body and mind are deeply connected. When we constantly suppress emotions, avoid difficult conversations, or carry stress for a long time, the body often responds with tension, especially around the neck, shoulders, jaw, and chest. It also affects your fascia, which holds the hold system together !

And then a cycle can begin:

• Stress creates tension
• Tension changes posture
• Restricted posture makes breathing less free
• Less free breathing can make us feel even more stressed or disconnected

I've seen this pattern in many clients with headaches, neck pain, and stress.

That doesn't mean posture is simply a matter of "standing up straight." Real change often comes from addressing both the body and the mind.

✨ Gentle movement
✨ Better breathing habits
✨ Relaxation and recovery
✨ Expressing what we're feeling instead of carrying it alone

When the body feels safe, the shoulders soften, the breath becomes deeper, and posture often improves naturally.

The goal is not always perfect posture.

It's feeling more comfortable in your own body again. 💙
