USC Volunteers Around The World

USC Volunteers Around the World (VAW) is a two week intensive internship in medical and/or dental outreach. Every summer a group of selected individuals travel to some of the most beautiful places in the world! We have students from all majors and backgrounds come on our trips. It will be the best two weeks of your life regardless of what you study! The three trips offered during the Summer of 201

4 are:
Guatemala (Medical and Dental Outreach)
Dominican Republic (Dental Outreach)
Panama (Medical Outreach)**New Location**

- Practice medical techniques before medical school
- Assist dentists and learn about oral pathologies
- Teach courses in basic medical care and hygiene
- Learn to salsa
- Take spanish classes
- Climb the tallest peak in Central America
- Visit the Mayan Ruins and water caves of Guatemala
- Lay out on the beaches of Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic
- Walk amongst the islands of Panama
