Grandmother Ayahuasca…
Ayahuasca is a truly magical plant — a sacred vine filled with love that can connect many levels of consciousness and different dimensions, in a way.
The medicine of Ayahuasca is the vine cooked together with the leaves of yagé or chacruna — different names for these leaves that carry the vision, that carry the DMT.
There are many traditions, many ways to prepare the medicine, and many ways to hold ceremony. Some Amazonian cultures don’t always use yagé or chacruna — they work with different plants. But the one element that is always present is the vine. The vine is always there in the medicine.
There are different traditions, different ways of cooking, different ways of serving. Sometimes I’ve heard people say, “That’s not the right way.” But I don’t believe anyone can say what is or isn’t the right way.
There are many ways to work with the plants. Indigenous peoples have known and worked with this medicine for hundreds, even thousands of years in the Amazon jungle of South America.
Some of the times I have taken the medicine, and with people we have shared these ceremonies, there have been moments where we experienced contact with entities that, in my understanding, are either not from here, or not from this planet… or perhaps they are very ancient.
On one occasion, there was an opportunity to encounter two beings who were quite tall and had elongated heads. While in their presence, they carried many symbols. They seemed to generate visions filled with symbols, almost like sacred or religious symbols.
Grandmother Ayahuasca, like other power plants, sometimes allows us to lift a veil — to come into contact with other realities that are present here, that exist alongside us, and that in some way work for the development of humanity.
At the same time, it also brings awareness that there are energies that are not always positive. But ultimately, it deepens the understanding that we are not alone here, and that there are other levels of consciousness.
In other moments, Grandmother Ayahuasca also allows us to connect with those who are no longer physically here — those who have passed on before us.
There is a lot of magic and mysticism within Grandmother Ayahuasca.
