Cacao has been used in ceremony for centuries. The combination with sound is a living practice, one we continue at Sacred Seed.

Ceremonial cacao prepares the body. The theobromine in cacao is a natural vasodilator, it opens circulation, increases blood flow, and shifts the body out of high alert. This is not subtle. It’s a real, physical change that happens before the sound even begins.

When the gong and the bowls arrive, the body has already moved. In our experience, there is less resistance. Sound lands differently. The work goes deeper.

We don’t know exactly why. But we’ve seen it enough times to trust it.

Runes are a writing and oracular system from the Norse-Germanic tradition.

The oldest known runic alphabet, the Elder Futhark, dates to approximately the 2nd century CE.

24 symbols. Each one is a letter, yes. But also a force. A mirror. A question the universe asks back at you.

Raquel brought them as an integration tool the day after the Huachuma ceremony, a bridge between what the body lived and what the mind doesn’t yet know how to name.

After the reading, each person worked with clay.

Something happens when you leave the mind behind and let the body take over.

The fingers press into earth. The earth presses back.

That exchange is not symbolic, it is literal grounding.

Clay is an earth element, and working with it after ceremony pulls what was opened back down into the body, into something tangible, into something real.

Huachuma opens. The earth receives. And the hands are the ones who complete the journey between the two.

Your body has memory. And sound knows how to access it. Frequencies activate the vagus nerve. Regulate the nervous system. Lower cortisol. Bring the brain from beta to theta. Reorganize patterns the mind alone cannot touch.

That’s the hardest part to accept the first time. Because you’re not looking for what you already have. You’re looking for what you think is missing.

But there’s a difference between information and transformation.

And the medicine always knows which one you need. 💫

There's something nobody tells you when you start exploring plant medicine.

The experience, the visions, the breakthrough moments, all of that is real. But it's only the surface. What determines whether your life actually changes is not what happens during the ceremony. It's what you do with it after.

Without integration, even the deepest experience fades over time. You go back to the same patterns, the same relationships, the same internal loops. Not because the medicine didn't work, but because the real work begins when the ceremony ends.

The question is not whether you should do plant medicine. The question is whether you're ready to change your life after it.
