Simple flowing Asahi is a Nordic Wellness practice from Finland that was designed for the 21st Century by four Finnish health experts.

Asahi is based on western medicine and its flowing movements work for people of all ages and in all states of health.

Four Minnesotans joined 30 Finnish Asahi practitioners on the Asahi Wellness Retreat to Crete May 5-12. In addition to Asahi there was time for a cruise along the coastline, sunbathing, Mediterranean cuisine, and a lesson in Modern Nordic Walking.
A great time was had by all! Stay tuned for next spring’s destination and plan to join us!

A new Asahi star is born! Varvara Paraschaki of Rethymnon, Crete, completed the online Asahi teacher training course on May 1 and received her diploma in person during the Asahi Nordic Wellness Trip to Crete on May 7th. She has plans to offer Asahi in English at tourist hotels. Congratulations, Varvara!

Asahi “apostles”! Childhood friends, Margaret Hilton and Margaret Vainio, combine forces to spread Asahi in the Washington DC area! Morning class in Bethesda, MD, and workshop today at the Resurrection Church in Arlington,VA, at 1 pm!

ASAHI GOES AFRICAN!
One of the Superior Healthcare Foundation”s grant recipients, Asahi teacher, Nick Obradovich from Marquette, MI, was in Africa on his honeymoon. He led an Asahi practice there and elephant came in closer to check out the moves the group was doing. Some people describe the first relaxation move as “floppy elephant ears,” so maybe that’s what made the herd curious!😉

Congratulations to David McDonald, who just got his Asahi certification with Asahi trainer Deb Wahlberg in Ironwood, MI! David is from the Duluth area but will be moving way up to International Falls, MN, on the Canadian border. David got to do some practice teaching with Debra’s weekly class. You can tell from the photos that a good time was had by all!
