Your body negotiates gravity from the feet up.
Each time the foot meets the floor, force travels through the ankle, legs, pelvis and spine. Fascia helps transmit and distribute that force, allowing the body to move as one connected system.
When an area becomes tense or less adaptable, other regions often change their strategy. A hip shifts. A shoulder braces. Breathing becomes smaller. The body finds a way to keep moving, even when that way eventually becomes uncomfortable.
MER Trauma Release works with these connected patterns. We use touch, movement and awareness to explore how tension is organized across the body and create the conditions for a different response.
One point of contact can reveal a much larger pattern.
What changes in your body when your feet feel supported?
