What started as my own little venting mechanism and a leg up to give myself credibility for admin on huge pages spiralled out of control into a help-me-help-you center, tiny gaming community, vidya reviews and general communal f**kabouts. I run servers from time to time when the demand gets high, we bring a blast of fresh air into old multiplayer games with the Maid Brigade clan, sh*tty ASK.fms an

It's strange. I really don't like 3d modelling - I just can't find a program that lets me wrap my head around it properly except Cinema4D and these days that is.... Nooooot the solution for me.

But then I look at Tinkercad.... 83 designs made in their web client.

8 designs published to Thingiverse.

Yeah, there's a BUNCH of remixes suited to my own needs there.
But I still somehow knocked all that out over the past three years or so.

And 3D Printing has helped me so much to see things in shapes, to figure out how to approach a problem, and has done so, so much for my sense of autonomy.

Hell, I'm currently renting a room, and my desk is held up with brackets I found online, that suspend it under my bed.

Behind my pc desk, I've designed my own brackets for a workspace so I can tinker with projects. I've made standoffs and shelf brackets so the offcut materials can be used for shelving.

I've printed a hook so I can hang up my headset and declutter my desk.
I'm currently trying to design a controller hanger that hooks off a support beam of my bed to further declutter it.

I've gone and made little clip rings so I have lighting solutions above my head - suspended from my mattress grate.

Just this week I made myself a pull-out shelf for under that worktable!

It's.... Kind of amazing, really. It makes me happy. It keeps me sane. And it helps me to feel... Well, in control of my own life, a little bit.
It's been a good hobby for me, now that I finally have a machine I don't want to throw out the window every time I use it.

...Some of y'all are..... VERY optimistic about what 3d printing can do.

Made a pullout shelf or open drawer or whatever to store some more tools and keep my workbench cleaner (yeah not right now lmao).

Used the offcut and some self designed 3d printed brackets to make a shelf for it.

Fixed my bike up as much as i could because i ran a flat rear tire last week...

THEN fixed my fridge.

Also reorganized my little tool wall.

And for some reason a neighbour biked past while i was fixing my bike and was like "hey do you want some dark chocolate? I got a craving for it but i probably shouldn't finish the whole bar" like hell yeah I'll take some dark chocolate.

All in all yesterday was a good day. Like i was on natural aderall or some s**t.

It sure is.

Oh man, it's been a while since I've seen 8bit stories posts. And of course it's an immediate banger.
