The zipper pull on a real Speedy carries a shallow, evenly spaced LOUIS VUITTON engraving with a warm brass tone underneath, while a fake stamps it deep and uneven and plates it to a bright yellow gold. And the padlock is numbered, with LOUIS VUITTON curving above the keyhole and the number set cleanly below it – fakes crowd the two together or leave the lock unnumbered.
