I got under the needle myself to better understand my work, the sensations my clients experience, and the very essence of play piercing.
It was an interesting experience, full of inner focus and new discoveries.
A few things that are important to keep in mind before a play piercing session:
1. Come well-rested, fatigue increases sensitivity to pain.
2. Make sure to eat beforehand. A stable blood sugar level helps your body respond more easily to the process.
3. Wear comfortable clothing so nothing distracts you during the session and so the artist has open access to the project area.
4. If this is your first experience, consult with your artist about which area might suit you best, so you can focus on sensations rather than stress.
5. Most importantly — relax and trust your piercer. Listen to their guidance, breathe steadily, and stay present in the moment.
How our session went:
Fear — 7/10
Pain — 4/10
Result — 100/10 ✨
This isn’t just about piercings for the sake of a photo. It’s about trust, control and a curious exploration of your own boundaries.
Thank you for the amazing work and for bringing my ideas to life 🐰
