My daughter has always been artistic, but since discovering pastels just over a month ago, I’ve watched something in her art beautifully unfold. 🎨✨

This piece especially spoke to me…Earth surrounded by her aura. 🌎💙💜 We often talk about the auras and energy surrounding people, but rarely about the energy of Mother Earth herself.

As her Earth mom, I truly believe some of my daughter’s gifts come through her art. She may not recognize that in herself yet, but I see an intuition in what she creates that goes beyond technique.

Sometimes art expresses what the soul already knows. ✨🌎

Yesterday was my second Hape ceremony, and I continue to feel grateful for being introduced to this sacred Indigenous practice. 🌿

**We are the medicine. I am the medicine.**

Something beautiful showed up for me this time: **my voice is free, and my voice is safe to play.••

She is allowed to come out.

To sing.
To tone.
To vocalize.
To make sounds that don’t need to be explained or understood.
To simply *be heard.*

There is something deeply familiar in that for me—something that connects back to my fascination with ancient Egypt, Isis, the feminine, sound, transmission, and the ways I’ve experienced my own voice and vocalizations. I don’t necessarily need to know exactly what all of it means yet. I’m learning to give myself permission to experience it, remain curious, and see where the path takes me.

I’m also realizing that every ceremony brings connection. Even though this was only my second, each time I’ve walked away having connected with another beautiful soul—someone with that familiar sense of openness, curiosity, and reverence for the medicine and the experience.

I’m grateful to continue learning how to integrate what comes forward into my everyday life rather than leaving it behind when the ceremony ends.

And a special thank you to **Carmen and Itzi** for holding and facilitating such a beautiful, sacred space. 🤍🌿

I’m still learning. Still listening. Still integrating.

And I’m excited to see where this path leads me.

**My voice is free. My voice is safe. And she is allowed to be heard.**

I attended my first Hapé ceremony since my temazcal experience in Mexico in 2024, and my heart is so full.

From the moment I entered the space, I felt held. The facilitators created a beautiful container where everyone was welcomed exactly as they were, allowing the medicine to unfold in its own way.

One of the most unexpected gifts was discovering that my own medicine was my voice. As the Hapé moved through me, I felt called to vocalize, and instead of resisting it, I was lovingly encouraged to let it flow. That acceptance allowed me to surrender even more deeply to the experience.

Throughout the ceremony, I felt a rhythmic pulsing in my sacral space. Another participant later shared that she experienced something unraveling within her own sacral, and the facilitators reflected that what emerged that evening became medicine for the entire circle. They shared it was unlike anything they had witnessed before.

I left feeling deeply grateful…not only for the Hapé, but for a community that honored every person’s unique expression of healing.

Thank you to Indigo Vida and Itzi for holding such a sacred space. What an honor it was to sit in circle with all of you. 🤍

This morning, in that space between sleeping and waking, I noticed something different.

My inner critic started speaking.

Instead of believing every word, I paused.

I observed her.

Then another realization came: I could also observe the one who was observing.

That small shift changed everything.

The inner critic may still have a voice, but she no longer gets to decide who I am.

Awareness creates space.
Space creates choice.
And choice creates freedom.

Like this tree, whose roots are exposed yet deeply anchored, I’ve realized that what lies beneath the surface often holds the greatest strength.

Sometimes healing isn’t about silencing the inner critic.

Sometimes it’s simply remembering that you are not the voice—you are the awareness listening.

And maybe that’s the practice:
not giving the inner critic the microphone,
not giving her the stage,
and not giving her the final word.

Knowing everything I’ve lived, learned, healed, and carried… this is the version of me that emerged.
Teacher. Mother. Protector. Seeker.
Still becoming. Always holding space. ✨
