Today, we are thrilled to celebrate one of the BIGGEST scientific achievements of the Egyptian Society of Anaesthesiology and Acute Care (ESAAC) this year! 🏆🇪🇬
Our scientific publication is now OFFICIALLY listed among the scientific periodicals recognized by the Egyptian Supreme Council of Universities. 📚✨

Every maternal death tells a story of missed opportunities.
For decades, we have focused on the Three Delays. Yet many mothers still die after reaching a healthcare facility—not because help was unavailable, but because health systems failed to deliver timely, coordinated, life-saving care.
The emerging concept of the Fourth Delay challenges us to look beyond access and examine what happens inside our hospitals: communication, referral coordination, blood product availability, specialist access, emergency surgery, resource allocation, and rapid clinical decision-making.
🌹 I invite colleagues around the world to share this infographic and join the conversation. By raising awareness, strengthening health systems, and learning from every maternal death, we can transform knowledge into action and improve maternal outcomes everywhere.

Post-spinal hypotension remains one of the most critical challenges in obstetric anaesthesia.
The evidence is clear: coload with vasopressor is the most effective strategy.
Relying on preload alone is no longer sufficient—and often disappointing.
Why? Because pregnancy is not a static physiology. Rapid haemodynamic shifts demand dynamic, responsive management.
Coloading at the time of spinal anaesthesia, combined with timely vasopressor use, aligns with maternal physiology and protects both mother and fetus.
This evolving understanding is shaping modern practice.
