Objectives of the DIC
The trained director and professional team of the DIC and its latest drug information database and reference books, make the DIC serves as an invaluable resource that meets the following objectives:-
• Provision of specific comprehensive drug information upon request from faculty, healthcare providers, and consumers from the general public in a timely manner, based on a compl

ete analysis of available evidence.
• Maintenance of resources to provide the most current and accurate information to inquirers.
• Publishing a drug information newsletter.
• Educating pharmacy students, and professionals about resources and medical literature analysis and enhancing the skill of accurately communicating response (both verbal in-writing).

💡 PCOS has officially been renamed PMOS
(Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome)

For years, PCOS was described mainly as an “ovary condition” linked to irregular periods and fertility struggles. But research and lived experiences show it is so much more than that.

PMOS reflects the full reality of the condition:

🧠 Polyendocrine – Multiple hormones are involved (insulin, testosterone, cortisol)
🔥 Metabolic – Affects energy, weight, fatigue, and insulin resistance
🥚 Ovarian – Ovaries are involved, but only one part of the picture
🩺 Syndrome – A collection of symptoms that vary from person to person

This change highlights what many women have been saying for years — this is not just a reproductive issue. It affects the whole body, including metabolism, mental health, skin, hair, and overall wellbeing.

فى شهر رمضان، كتير من الأمهات بيسألوا:
أصوم ولا أفطر؟

👶 في الحمل والرضاعة، القرار بيختلف من حالة للتانية
وعلى حسب حالتك الصحية وتقييم الطبيب.

🔸 بالنسبة للحامل:
لو الحمل طبيعي ومستقر ومفيش مشاكل، ممكن الصيام يكون آمن بعد استشارة الطبيب.
لكن في الحالات التالية يُفضل الإفطار:

• أنيميا شديدة
• سكر الحمل
• ارتفاع ضغط الدم
• ضعف نمو الجنين

🔸 بالنسبة للمرضعة:
الصيام ممكن يؤثر عند بعض الأمهات على:

• كمية اللبن
• مستوى الطاقة
• الترطيب

لو شعرتِ بتعب شديد أو جفاف 👉 يفضل الإفطار فورًا.

✨ نصائح مهمة أثناء رمضان:
✔️ اشربي كمية كافية من الماء بين الإفطار والسحور
✔️ اهتمي بأكل متوازن (بروتين + خضار + فاكهة)
✔️ تجنبي المجهود الزائد
✔️ تابعي مع الطبيب باستمرار

مع بداية شهر رمضان المبارك، بنفكّركم بأهمية تنظيم مواعيد الأدوية بين الإفطار والسحور للحفاظ على أفضل فاعلية علاجية وتجنب أي مضاعفات أثناء الصيام.

📌 لتعديل الجرعة أو مواعيد دوائك رجاء التوجه للصيدلي او الطبيب المعالج مينفعش بنفسك
📌 بعض الأدوية يمكن تغيير توقيتها، وبعضها يحتاج ضبط خاص
📌 مرضى السكر والضغط والغدة والقلب يحتاجوا تنظيم دقيق للجرعات
📌 استشارة الصيدلي أو الطبيب خطوة مهمة قبل أي تعديل
