A previous history of cancer does not always exclude kidney transplantation. The optimal waiting period depends on the tumor type, stage, grade, treatment response, and recurrence risk.

Suggested Disease-Free Waiting Period

1️⃣ Low-risk Prostate Cancer – No waiting period (selected patients on active surveillance or after curative treatment)

2️⃣ Breast Cancer
• Stage I: 2 years
• Stage II–III: 2–5 years
• Stage IV: Usually not eligible

3️⃣ Colorectal Cancer
• Stage I: 2 years
• Stage II–III: 3–5 years
• Stage IV: Generally not eligible

4️⃣ Renal Cell Carcinoma (RCC)

الجفاف في الصيف: احمِ كليتيك
يزيد الطقس الحار من فقدان السوائل عن طريق التعرّق، مما يجعل الجفاف أكثر شيوعًا. حتى الجفاف الطفيف قد يُقلل من تدفق الدم إلى الكلى، مما يزيد من خطر الإصابة بما يلي:
إصابة الكلى الحادة
حصى الكلى
التهابات المسالك البولية
الإجهاد الحراري وضربة الشمس
انخفاض ضغط الدم والدوار
علامات تحذيرية
زيادة العطش
بول أصفر داكن أو انخفاض كمية البول
جفاف الفم
التعب أو الضعف
دوار
صداع
سرعة ضربات القلب
كيفية الوقاية من الجفاف
اشرب الماء بانتظام - لا تنتظر حتى تشعر بالعطش.
زد من تناول السوائل خلال الطقس الحار، أو ممارسة الرياضة، أو العمل في الهواء الطلق.
تجنب التعرض لأشعة الشمس لفترات طويلة، خاصة بين الساعة 11 صباحًا و4 مساءً.
ارتدِ ملابس فضفاضة فاتحة اللون.
قلل من تناول الكحول والمشروبات التي تحتوي على الكافيين.
تناول الأطعمة الغنية بالماء مثل البطيخ والخيار والبرتقال والطماطم.
