About Lipid Day and CardioRisk 2015

The annual lipid day, started in 1998, held in Shebin ElKom, Menofiya attended at that time by about 80 experts in the fields of cardiology, Diabetes and cardiovascular protection. The extensive discussion during the meeting and the rapid progression of the knowledge in the field of lipidology and atherosclerosis raised the i

dea of repeating this meeting annual. From 1998 to 2003 the meeting was held annually in the second Thursday of Ramadan for one day activity. Since 2004 the meeting name had been changed to Cardiolipid congress and continued to cover the different aspects of dyslipidemia and Atherosclerosis. CardioRisk 2015 is the continuation of 18 years activity started with the first Lipid day that was organized by the cardiology department Menoufia University 1998. CardioRisk 2015 will also celebrate the foundation of the Egyptian Association of Vascular biology and Atherosclerosis (EAVA) and will extend not only to cover lipidology subjects, but also the most important risk factors associated with cardiovascular disease namely dyslipidemia, DM as well as hypertension. On behalf of the CardioRisk board and EAVA let me invite you to actively participate in CardioRisk 2015 together with eminent Egyptian and international experts in the field of Atherosclerosis, Lipidology, Diabetes and Hypertension. of Cardiology
