The EgTS aims to :

Increase public and media awareness with of the significant burden of trauma on the individual, their family, and on society as a whole

Collaborate with relevant stakeholders in the design, development and implementation of the Injury Prevention Programme (IPP)

Raise funds from both national and international organisations in order to implement the IPP

Contribute to the deve

lopment of standard trauma management guidelines and protocols by way of the IPP

Contribute to the optimization of trauma care at all levels of receiving facilities

Contribute to the management of healthcare facilities treating trauma victims

Conduct and actively participate in research projects in cooperation with national and international organisations

Contribute to the development of regional and national trauma registries for accurate data about the burden of trauma and to measure the impact of the IPP once implemented

Design and Build Trauma Management Training Courses for all levels of staff providing care to trauma victims

Develop a journal on the subject of Trauma Care, available to all members of the EgTS.
