AMPCAMP USA 🇺🇸 — DATES & DETAILS ARE HERE!

In less than 24 hours, the very first AmpCamp USA date will go LIVE on our website! 🎉

📍 Just outside Kingston, Tennessee

📅 8–14 May 2027

Our first American camp will be set in a beautiful lakeside retreat centre, surrounded by plenty of activities and experiences both on-site and nearby — making it the perfect location for our first AmpCamp adventure in the USA. 🇺🇸

We’ll have 6 three-bedroom cottages, with twin rooms, and between 18–36 attendees.

You’ll have two accommodation options:

🛏️ Shared room — share with another AmpCamper

🏡 Private room — have your own room

Want to bring someone with you? Absolutely! 💕 Your guest can share your room, and they’ll pay the same price as you.

💰 Booking & payment

To secure your place, you’ll need to pay a 20% non-refundable deposit.

The remaining balance will be due 6 weeks before camp starts, and if you’d prefer to spread the cost, payment plans can be arranged with us.

This is the beginning of something very exciting, and we can’t wait to bring AmpCamp to the USA! 🇺🇸❤️

Who is AmpCamp for?

Since we started in 2021 we’ve had guests you can still push yourself no matter how old you are. we’ve had amputees attend in their 20’s and others in their 80’s. We’ve had people who are new on their amputee journey that attend without a prosthetic, people that were born with a limb difference all the way to Paralympic champions. We’ve had below knee amputees, above knee amputees, double leg amputees, arm amputees, and people that need wheelchairs full time.

Do you need to have a certain fitness level?
No we will work with you and your fitness level, whether you can climb mountains or walk 20 metre, run for hours or walk for 5 min, wether your in the gym 5 times a week or sat in your wheelchair we can help you.

Where is AmpCamp and what’s it like there?

AmpCamp is based in Tenerife at a very special villa overlooking the south coast of the island. The reason we hold them here is because we are already working the attendees by making them fly to the island, something that most will worry about.
The camps are a week long and during that time all the guests will take part in various things like cardio, weights, yoga, Pilates, and self defence classes. They will also go on various excursions or days out doing things like indoor rock climbing, the natural rock pools (swimming in the ocean), golf or a boat trip. The week ends with the group climbing Montana Rojo (red rock), not everyone will do this as not everyone can, and the ones that can’t have still progressed through the week. The ones that do, support each other and help each other to the summit and it’s a great end to the week. 🦿

What sparked the idea for AmpCamp?

After I lost my leg on the 29th of November 2017 and having a really bad time accepting what had happened, I reached out to people for support. The main thing that came back to me was to attend coffee mornings in or around my area, I went once and it wasn’t for me. I’m sure they work for some people but I wanted more than to sit and talk about how hard this life is. I started visiting hospitals and peoples homes who needed help, I wanted to be the positive side of losing a limb. Someone that had been through the hard times but came out the other side stronger. After 12 month of doing this I wanted to do it on a larger scale and AmpCamp was born.

What is AmpCamp?
AmpCamp is a unique holiday for amputees, their partners or a guest.

What is the villa like?
We use a villa that isn’t disabled friendly. There are quite a few stairs staggered around the grounds. We use this villa as we want you to come and push yourself, and build confidence.

What happens while I’m there?
During your stay with us you will do various fitness classes including, cardio, weights, Pilates, yoga, water aerobics and boxing. All these will help with fitness and confidence.

Where is the camp located?
Our villa is sat 800m above sea level in the historic town of Arona, Omer looking the beautiful south coast of Tenerife. Tenerife is the largest island in the canaries, 62 miles west of Morocco.

Do we spend all week in the villa?
No, throughout the week you will do certain excursions like the natural pools, spa day, boat trip, indoor rock climbing, self defence classes or a nice relaxing beach day.

Is the camp only for new amputees?
No, our camps are designed for any amputee no matter where you are in your journey. We have previously had Paralympian Richard whitehead attend. All our classes will be designed specifically to you and your abilities
