Thanks to the members who participated in our 2026 General Assembly held online on Saturday June 6, 2026. The Board reported on actions over the past year, presenting details on the work of the sub-committees as well as the financial report.
At the General Assembly, the members ratified 4 new member applications and we welcome these organisations to the EDA network - they are:
• Trenca-dis Asociación de Dislexia y otras DEA de la Comunidad Valenciana – SPAIN.
• Learning Difficulties (A Project of FFT Insani Yardaim Vakfi) – TURKEY.
• Centre d'Estudi i Tractament de Dislèxia Montserrat Estil-les SL – SPAIN.
• MENTHORAI S.r.l. Startup Innovativa Società Benefit – ITALY.

In addition, the election of new Board members was held, and all 4 nominees were elected. We thank them for their voluntary commitment to supporting EDA over their board term. The elected Board members are:
• Ruth Falzon – Nominated by the Malta Dyslexia Association (MALTA).
• Concepcion el Chami – Nominated by Dyslexiques de France (FRANCE).
• Luisa Lopez – Nominated by Associazione Italiana Dislessia (ITALY).
• Lynn Lovell – Nominated by British Dyslexia Association (UK).

We concluded the General Assembly hearing from members who shared updates about actions and news from their countries. The draft Minutes will be shared with all our member organisations very soon.

We are delighted to announce that Kristina Moll will be a keynote speaker at the EDA Autumn Seminars in Gdansk, Poland (26-27 September 2026). Her keynote will explore “The Heterogeneous Nature of Dyslexia: Diverse Developmental Pathways and Co-Occurring Challenges”. Professor Moll leads the learning disorders research unit and outpatient clinic at LMU-Hospital, Munich. Her work focuses on the development, comorbidity, and treatment of literacy and mathematical disorders. She serves as a joint editor for the Journal of Child Psychology and Psychiatry (JCPP) and heads the German Dyslexia Association’s science advisory board.
