Another milestone achieved 💥

TBT to the Advanced IBRA Course in Barcelona (19–20 February) where I had the chance to be part of the faculty team 👨🏻‍🏫

Had the chance to teach ulnar shortening osteotomy and share a few thoughts on different wrist techniques with a great group of colleagues.

Sharing knowledge and keep on learning is a MUST in my journey as a surgeon. That’s why I’d like to publicly thank and for fostering medical education in such a great way. It is always a pleasure to work with you guys!

6 months. Stiff elbow. No real improvement.

Patient feeling depressed. Sounds familiar to any of your cases? Or maybe your case? 🧐

Here’s the truth: most cases aren’t just “tight”… they’re mechanically blocked for a REASON.

And here is the catch‼️When that happens, rehab alone won’t fix it.

Did you know that surgical release can increase motion by ~45° on average and restore real function in most patients.

👉 But to treat stiffness properly, you must understand the anatomy and the basics first. 👨🏻‍🏫
Extrinsic vs intrinsic. Capsular vs bony block. Flexion / Extension or mixed contracture.

That’s what really changes outcomes.

HOW A BANKART LESION‼️LOOKS LIKE 👀FROM INSIDE? 🎥

📖 La inestabilidad del hombro es un motivo de consulta frecuente y que siempre hemos de sospechar en el paciente menor de 40 años con dolor de hombro.

📍BANKART lesion es el acrónimo utilizado para definir la lesion del labrum glenohumeral anteroinferior que es la lesión más frecuente asociada a inestabilidad de hombro unilateral traumática.

👥 Mucho de vosotros sois estudiantes de medicina, enfermería o fisioterapeutas que estudiáis o tratáis este tipo de lesion en el día a día, pero habíais visto realmente su apariencia “desde dentro”?

🎥 En este vídeo podéis ver como tratamos de manera artroscópica esta lesión que reparamos con la ayuda de 3 implantes de 1.4 mm Iconix todo sutura de .sportsmedicine.
