Yoga on an Andalusian mountain ridge! 🧘🏻

One of the many beautiful offerings from during their retreat with us earlier this month!

Jerrica’s group hiked up to the nearby ridge at sunrise and enjoyed their yoga practice with a very special 360 degree view of the valley.

Here at House of Light, we have put thought and attention to the how our centre impacts all the senses.

With incredible mountain views, gardens and beautiful architecture for the eyes.

Herbs, flowers and incense throughout the year for the nose.

Textures from the tadelakt bathrooms to the wooden floors to the Moroccan carpets and meditation cushions for the touch.

Incredible fresh organic food and drinks to taste.

Also including a collection of singing bowls, a ceremonial drum, guitars, Tingsha and wind chimes, all for the use of our retreat leaders and their participants during their stay..

What we put into our soil matters.

This month, we’re sharing a little about biochar - a simple, powerful way to restore soil health, support food growth, and reduce reliance on costly, petrol-based fertilisers.

At a time when food prices are rising and systems feel increasingly unstable, returning to the soil offers something steady. Biochar allows us to lock carbon into the soil for generations, while building fertility from within.

This is part of our commitment to long-term care - for the land, and for what comes next.

Are you looking for your next retreat spot? We’re happy to introduce House of Light, our stunning moorish inspired venue, set within the stunning Alpujarra mountains of Andalusia, Southern Spain.

Our 2026 calendar is filling up but we do still have some availability for this year:

~ 07th June - 18th June
~ 29th June - 25th August
~ 18th October - 23rd October
~ 11th November - 2nd December
~ 7th December - 31st December

We are a year round retreat venue and enjoy the Spanish sun during most days.

Beautiful accommodation for up to 20 people, across 7 bedrooms and 3 yurts.
A dedicated 2 bedroom private apartment for retreat leaders.
Three delicious vegetarian meals a day prepared by our own specialist chefs.
Two workshop/meeting spaces; Indoor studio 40 sqm and Mongolian Yurt 65 sqm.
Professional yoga equipment including Manduka mats.
Salt water swimming pool and extensive gardens.
Relaxing communal areas for peaceful reflection and group gatherings.
Fire pit and so much more.

Private Holiday rental location in La Alpujarra, Southern Spain.

Sleeps up to 9 people (either king or twin rooms), with private saltwater pool, open plan dining terrace, hammock chairs, gorgeous views. House of Light normally runs as a retreat centre so everything is built to a high-spec.

Private catering, extras (like massages and treatments) and excursions (such as day trips out) are also available to book as add on’s. Get in touch to hear more about what we can offer you to make it a holiday to remember.
