FOUR YEARS LATER. HALF THE CLASSES. 💪❤️
I wanted to share something really personal with you because I think these numbers tell a much more important story than simply looking at the scales.
I found my Tanita body composition report from August 2022 and compared it with my results from August 2026.
And here's what really surprised me…
In 2022 I was teaching around 14 fitness classes every single week.
Today, I'm teaching 7 classes a week — HALF the amount!
And despite going through the hormonal changes of menopause, my body composition has remained remarkably stable.
2022 → 2026
⚖️ Weight: 63 kg → 65.2 kg
💪 Muscle: 78.1% → 75%
But here's the important bit…
Because I'm now slightly heavier, that percentage change doesn't tell the whole story.
When we calculate the estimated actual muscle mass:
2022: ~49.2 kg
2026: ~48.9 kg
That's only around 300g difference in four years!
🔥 Body fat: 20.5% → 21.6%
🦴 Bone mass: 2.6 kg → 2.7 kg
🔥 BMR: 1483 → 1495 calories
❤️ Visceral fat: 2.5 → 3.0 — still very low
And my metabolic age on the Tanita is still well below my actual age.
So what does this tell me?
It tells me that we don't necessarily need to exercise MORE as we get older.
We need to exercise SMARTER.
I don't teach 14 classes a week anymore. I simply don't need to.
The years of building a strong foundation, maintaining muscle, doing resistance training, cardio, Pilates, mobility and staying consistently active have paid off.
And that's exactly what I want my clients to understand.
Your goal isn't to spend your life trying to get smaller.
As we get older, one of the most important things we can do is:
💪 Maintain muscle
❤️ Protect our heart and cardiovascular fitness
🦴 Look after our bones
🔥 Keep visceral fat under control
🚶♀️ Keep moving
🥗 Eat well
😴 Recover
…and most importantly, stay consistent.
Because maintaining your muscle for four years is a SUCCESS.
Maintaining your strength is a SUCCESS.
Keeping your body weight stable is a SUCCESS.
And doing it while your hormones are changing is an even bigger achievement.
So please don't think that getting older means you have to accept losing muscle, becoming weaker and gaining weight.
It doesn't.
We just have to change the way we train and focus on what really matters.
And that's why I'm so passionate about longevity.
It's not about looking younger.
It's about making sure the body you have today is strong enough to carry you through the next 20, 30 or 40 years. ❤️
Don't just chase a smaller body.
Build a stronger one.
