Our second participation in 𝗩𝗜𝗩 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮, 𝗞𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗹𝗶, brought us together with professionals from across a rapidly evolving animal production industry.

With around 𝟭,𝟴𝟬𝟬 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝟲𝟬 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀, the event provided an excellent opportunity to exchange knowledge, understand emerging market needs and strengthen relationships across the continent.

Particular interest was shown in 𝗔𝗹𝗾𝘂𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗼𝘅, 𝗔𝗹𝗾𝘂𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝘁𝗼𝘅 and 𝗔𝗹𝗾𝘂𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗹𝘂𝘀, together with our 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 as a natural approach to supporting animal health, welfare and production efficiency.

Intestinal microbiota plays a key role in laying hen performance. A high presence of potentially pathogenic bacteria can affect intestinal balance, nutrient utilisation and faecal consistency, with a direct impact on productivity and egg cleanliness.

In a trial with 224 Brown laying hens, 𝗔𝗹𝗾𝘂𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗹𝘂𝘀 achieved:
