Allow yourself to feel your fears, your pain, your joys. Do not disguise them with trivialities. That is like sweeping rubbish under the carpet. Sooner or later, the carpet will be lifted, and you will not be able to breathe with so much rubbish beneath it.

If you could,
If you knew,
If you wished

To grant me butterfly wings,

I would sip the nectar of the loveliest flowers,
I would perch upon the shoulder of the defeated,

I would try to make my beauty seen
Without making a sound,

I would play at hiding where you could not find me,
I would show you how high one can fly
Without having great wings,

I would whisper in your ear secrets from other realms,
That would unravel thousands of mysteries,

I would make you feel how fleeting existence is
And thus know that every minute counts,

If you could,

If you wished

ALAS DE MARIPOSAS ( ANA )

Si pudieras,
Si supieras,
Si quisieras

Brindarme alas de mariposas,

Libaría el néctar de las flores más bellas,
Me posaría en el hombro del vencido,

Trataría de hacer ver mi belleza
Sin hacer ruido,

Jugaría a esconderme sin que me encontraras,
Te haría ver cuán alto se puede volar
Sin tener grandes alas,

Susurraría a tu oído secretos de otros reinos,
Que desentrañarían miles de misterios,

Te haría sentir lo efímero de la existencia
y saber así que cada minuto cuenta,
