There is such an indescribable magic in the silence that takes place after a soundbath.
In the releasing, the surrendering, in the letting go. Free from any expectation, just pure presence, stillness and gratitude.
Those of you who are my sound healing students, will know how much importance I place on those minutes of silence and stillness at the end, so that release, restoration and balance can take place.
In a world that is so full of constant noise, stimulation, and busyness, stillness and silence are so overlooked. But the truth is, it's in the stillness that you get to connect with your higherself, your thoughts, your body. We need stillness in order to truly hear and feel.
Having grown up in a house that was constantly filled with noise, shouting, singing, the hum from TV and radio 24/7, when I left home, I often chose the peace and serenity of silence.
For me silence truly is golden. And even now the most sacred of silence is during my meditation, and in the moments after creating sacred sounds. It's where I find clarity, a deeper connection to myself, and an able to receive guidance that comes through when I'm not distracted by anything external. The silence allows me to go within.
