For years I’ve had a struggle with food. I’m not talking about a psychological struggle but more of a physical problem, which indeed developed in a really unhealthy relationship with food because I was always in constant pain.
Let me go back 8 years ago: I was always a bad eater when I was a kid and when I became a teenager I started to eat, anything and everything. Somehow that huge change fu**ed up my belly and I started having pain as soon as I eat anything. After 2 long years of doctors and tests the answer was: you just have a sensitive stomach and you will suffer this for ever.
Well for those who don’t know me I’m a really persistent girl. And I decided if doctors were not going to help I would help myself. So that is when I started my health journey. It has come with up and downs, struggles and tears. I tried being vegetarian, vegan, keto diet... as my smart friend said once we should stop labelling what we are regarding of our diet. So I’ve been for the last 6 months eating the things that makes me feel good, energized and not in pain. So no, I’m no longer vegan because I was in constant pain and it didn’t help me. I had to quit gluten, lactose and grains; as well as many other food combos; which has made being vegan imposible.
So this is me trying to be honest, myself and sharing my health and lifestyle to help others find their way. Always listen to your body because it’s telling you everything you need to know, it’s just learning how to listen to it. .
