Good habits. 💪✨🥳
That’s what we all need and want, but why is it sometimes hard to acquire them, and mainly, why is it so hard to get rid of the bad ones❓
Habits form following this cicle:
1️⃣ - CUE: The cue is whatever triggers the behavior. This can be a place, a situation, a thought, an emotional state… (Example: walking past a vending machine on your way home).
2️⃣ - RESPONSE: Our behavior to this cue. The answer to the trigger. (Example: buying and eating a chocolate bar at the vending machine).
3️⃣ - REWARD: The reward satisfies the craving, so our brain quickly learns to repeat these routines, even if they are actually harmful for us. (Example: the chocolate tastes good and gives you a moment of pleasure).
🔁 You get used to this LOOP, and the same will happen every time.
A HABIT is an automatic behavior, but initially it requires conscious effort.
This is where a HEALTH COACH can help you: to identify the habits that are working against you and the achievement of your goals, and to help you create new habits that will give you both, immediate and long-term satisfaction.
If you wake up every morning and force yourself to go for a walk first thing, you will end up associating waking up with going for a walk, and that walk will give you a sensation of pleasure.
Every day counts. Start now.
