A big thank you to Ian for leading another fantastic walk!

We covered an enjoyable 17 miles from Edenbridge to Tonbridge, winding through peaceful river paths, rolling countryside and past Penshurst Place, before finishing at Tonbridge Castle. A perfect day out, celebrating at the end with my mum 🏅✨

This weekend was spent on a Lowland Leader training course, learning how to guide safely and support others out on the path.

Assessment still to come, but a meaningful step forward.

Great group, shared miles, and a lot to take into future walks. Looking forward to sharing these skills soon.

Here are some photos from a recent recce for the Summer Solstice walk at Kings Wood, Challock — happening on the morning of Sunday 21st June. Thank you Michael WalkWild Wellbeing for joining me.

The route is gentle and suitable for most fitness levels, with well-maintained woodland paths, birdsong, and beautiful light through the trees.

A calm, grounding way to step into the longest day of the year.

Looking back at feedback from last month’s Godmersham Equinox Walk 🌿

Grateful for reflections like this — they capture the spirit of these walks better than I ever could.

These walks aren’t really about distance alone. They’re about shared experience — noticing and celebrating the changing of the seasons, and setting intentions for the path ahead.

Yesterday I completed the Len Valley Walk from Maidstone to Lenham with Boots On Adventures passing Leeds Castle and some beautiful countryside 🌿

It was great to see some familiar faces and share good conversations with new people along the way — really nice to pick up a medal at the end too 🏅

Looking forward to walking the Eden Valley Way with them next month ✨

A year ago I completed my North Downs Way Ambassador training with Kent Downs National Landscape

These photos were taken at Newlands Corner and St Martha-on-the-Hill Church, two beautiful places along the Downs Way National Trail
That moment was just the beginning.
Since then, the path has unfolded into something deeper — leading reflective walks aligned with the rhythms of the equinoxes and solstices.

This Friday, we gather for a walk in Godmersham to celebrate the arrival of spring.

Just returned from some time away in the mountains near walking, reflecting, and soaking in the views alongside wild sheep and rare birds.

Being in landscapes like this always reminds me how important it is to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with nature.

It’s the same spirit I hope to share on the Spring Equinox Walk on March 20th in Godmersham — a chance to pause, reflect, and welcome the turning of the season together 🌿
