🟣 Lumbar Technique - S.G.J. Wernham. 1966 Year Book
The 5th lumbar in its articulation with the sacrum balances and cooperates in movements with the remaining four lumbar vertebrae and this is entirely regulated by the articulations between the sacrum, the ilia and the movements of the legs. That is to say it belongs to and articulates in relation to the sacrum.
Its correction is primarily concerned with the restoration of function rather than the correction of lesions, and there are three main points to be considered. 1) The range of movement, 2) The ease of movement, 3) The correlation of one vertebra to another, and the groups of vertebrae in the lumbar area.
