Are you drinking blackberry leaf tea? And why you should 👇🏼

This isn’t going to be a trending reel and I haven’t followed any of the algorithm rules because frankly, I couldn’t give a hoot about that. It also isn’t deep and profound to make some blackberry leaf tea, but I actually could go deep here 🤣👇🏼

What I care about is encouraging people to get connected to their land, to the wisdom of the plants, and the free medicine on your doorstep. And not just learn about it, but go and do it.

For me, foraging and finding free nourishment and medicine isn’t just empowering and a deep remembering, it also could be critical to all of us at some point in the future, like it was in the past.

The deep bit: Farmers are struggling with extreme heats/droughts versus the winter deluges and it is likely that this intense weather becomes more and more common for us in our future. It may not be as easy to have farmed food available to us every day so let’s friggin learn about the hedgerows and the woodlands beyond the obvious - the berries themselves.

Having said that, please go and pick and store the blackberries too - make pies, jams, vinegar and freeze a load. Nature is waving at you with her bounty so thank her and respectfully help yourself!

As I’ve got older, how I feel about GIFTS has changed dramatically. Instead of wanting more “stuff” in a world of capitalism and consumerism - I value experiences, and more so - knowledge!

So a couple of weeks ago, for my 35th birthday, I was absolutely over the moon to receive both:
1. A full day experience of foraging and fishing for wild food in our homeland of Cornwall.
2. The knowledge that it forged and cemented in me more ways to fend for myself, as my ancestors would have.

It was even more special that it was a gift from my love - who clearly knows me so well - and that we were able to experience it together.

Mother Nature pulled out all the stops for a 28 degree blinder of a day in one of the most idyllic spots in the whole of the UK. And I’m forever grateful to Jonathan Nichols for guiding and teaching us.

Jonathan has spent more than 20 years living off grid in this spot and honouring the land as he lives in harmony with it.

I had a goal of learning to fish this year, so it was the first step towards that as we did some live-bait beach casting with sand eels - proving that you don’t even need to get in a boat to catch a 4lb bass!

We went diving for seaweed, picked wild rocket, rock samphire, watercress, blackberries, and more.

I cut my foot so we immediately used the medicine of the land and found some yarrow to stop the bleeding.

All and all, it was such a wholesome day, and a great opportunity to remind me that I actually have a lot of foraging knowledge now - I just need to put it into practice on a regular basis.

I strongly feel that we should all be reconnecting with these practices in a society that is trying to make us reliant and compliant. Much like growing our own, it’s an important way to remain sovereign, strong, wise and healthy humans.

Thank you for the perfect gift Joel Gray ❤️

Landing back from a whistle-stop weekend in London for the Healf expo. It was a joy to represent the Healf Zone blood testing and consultation service with my fellow practitioners and connect with so many interesting and inspiring people within the industry.

I was largely without my phone, so my photos are limited, but it was another great event by Healf with talks from some of the major players in the global wellness industry.

I feel very lucky to be able to access people from all walks of life through the Healf Zone, and provide them with tailored advice on how to support themselves better from a health and wellbeing perspective. And it was amazing to connect with some of our online members in person.

I was also particularly excited to see the beginnings of the trend of consciously rejecting over-optimisation. It was the theme for this issue of Healf’s new magazine, and it was also mentioned by Andrew Huberman, Ph.D. in his talk to kick off day one.

When you have a global population that’s sicker than ever, with more information than ever on how to be healthy, something has to be missing. There’s obviously great nuance to this debate, but I believe the obsession with optimisation is not promoting true health. Instead, more people need to be returning to self-compassion, connection with community and natural foundations in order to foster more balance and resilience in their lives. It was refreshing to see this narrative starting to ripple through the industry. But watch this space, because I think we will be hearing more and more on this moving forward.

I thought it was about time I reintroduced myself.

I’ve been on Instagram for 10 years, been practicing as a Holistic Nutritionist for 6 years, lived in Cornwall for 2.5 years and been a Sound Practitioner for more than a year Jade | Sound Body Soul. But there’s a bit more to me than that.

So, here you are ⬆️… thanks for being here 🫶🏼

Your bedroom is your recovery space, and the details really do matter.

As a specialist in healthy built environments, I always recommend clients do a room-by-room audit of their homes — starting with the obvious areas for reducing harm and toxic exposure, then getting into the finer details over time.

Bedding is somewhere most people haven’t thought to look. I have an allergenic response to dust, so I went down the hypoallergenic route for a while, but found myself getting uncomfortably hot under a polyester duvet, which didn’t align with my efforts to keep everything else (bed linen and pjs) 100% cotton or linen.

Here’s the thing: polyester doesn’t breathe. It traps heat and moisture overnight, raises your core body temperature, and fragments your sleep — often without you even realising. Or worse, you do realise, and wake up sweaty and disgruntled.

Natural fibres work completely differently. I’m using the Naturals collection:

🛏️ Goose Down Duvet: encased in 100% responsibly sourced BCI cotton. Breathable, temperature-regulating, and naturally hypoallergenic (researchers at Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center found that well-maintained down is just as innocuous for allergy sufferers as synthetic fibres).

🪶 Goose Feather & Down Pillow: 100% sustainably sourced 233 thread count cotton with Downpass certification, meaning fully traceable and ethically sourced down.

Both support the deep, restorative sleep your body needs to repair, regulate hormones, and support immunity. I’ve found the duvet particularly good in warmer weather. It’s still cosy without being stifling.

Is bedding something you’ve considered swapping on your lower-tox journey? Let me know in the comments — and message me for 15% off at .

Tell me I’m not the only one??! 👩🏼‍🌾🫣😂😂😂🫠

This year we decided we were going to make much more of an effort to grow our own vegetables.

We got raised beds. We got organic compost. We planted companion plants. And we planted about 10 TIMES TOO MANY SEEDS 😂. Thank Christ I only planted one courgette plant.

Regardless, I’m genuinely thrilled to see so much bounty. And you’ll be pleased to know I did some thinning out after I shot this footage. But potentially not enough. 👀

I yap on about eating organic, and I know it can feel like it’s hard to find good food that is affordable. So I really do believe that we all need to start growing more of our own produce. And my gosh it feels satisfying to pick and eat your own bounty. My nervous system loves the fact that I’m reminding myself what it is to be a self-sufficient human!

Let me know if you want any more garden produce updates. And PLEASE let me know if you relate to the “all the gear, no idea” approach to growing? 👩🏼‍🌾

Your health is dictated by what’s going on in your head. And on how your own programmes and patterns drive choices and behaviour.

Here’s just one example of a tendency of mine to put too much pressure on myself and slip into thinking I need to have “something to show for myself” to have value in this world. Your subconscious programmes could be completely different - they are still likely driving some unhealthy habits and behaviours, EVEN if you are aware of them.

So many women come into my clinic with perfectionist mindsets, or contempt for themselves for some reason or another. This ultimately leads to living a life with some form of subtle punishment woven in - like diet restrictions, over-training, over-working, negative self-talk, control freak behaviour, the inability to be creative or truly rest, and so on.

Awareness is only the first step. It doesn’t change things. The real work comes from a lot of time working on the programming through breaking patterns, affirmation, maybe even more potent techniques like hypnosis for some people. And sometimes things slip, and you need a reminder. That’s okay - we’re all human.

Having someone in your corner to call you out when you’re slipping back is key.

This is one of the areas in which psychological, spiritual and mental themes merge into “physical” wellbeing. We cannot separate these things out. Everything is deeply connected. I believe that the real healing can’t happen until we start digging in to our own codes and stories, and work on rewriting them.

Does this resonate with you?

I see unwell people every single day. People who don’t know why they’re ill in a super toxic world. This chemical has a considerable role to play. If you care about your health and that of the wider economy system then please pay attention to this.

Please don’t be defeatist and say “those petitions don’t work” or “it’ll happen anyway” because with that mentality we’re not going to get anywhere in this world. The only way we can change this is if we write to our councils, kick up a fuss, share reels like this, start the conversation with friends and loved ones, and SIGN THE PETITION please and thank you 🙏🏼 . The link is in my bio.

Glyphosate can stay out of our beautiful rural medicinal county.
