You’ve probably eaten khichadi hundreds of times… but never like this.
If you grew up eating khichadi whenever you were sick or had an upset stomach, chances are your mom was onto something.
The same khichadi doesn’t have to work for every phase of your cycle.
Here’s how I like to switch mine:
🤎 Menstrual phase → warming yellow or green moong khichadi with ginger, cumin, ajwain & hing
🌱 Follicular phase → lighter khichadi with quinoa or brown rice, green moong, coriander & fresh herbs
🌼 Ovulation → colorful veggie khichadi with toor or masoor dal, fennel, cumin & turmeric
🌙 Luteal phase → grounding urad or masoor khichadi with millet, cinnamon, fenugreek & warming spices
And a few simple upgrades make an even bigger difference!
✨ Yellow split moong → green split moong, whole moong, masoor, urad or toor (more fiber, iron & protein)
✨ White rice → brown rice, millet or quinoa
✨ Plain khichadi → load it with vegetables, herbs & healthy fats
✨ Basic seasoning → ginger, cumin, coriander, turmeric, fennel, ajwain & hing
Save this for the next time you’re craving comfort food.
