Beyond the doshas lies another fascinating layer of Ayurvedic thought.

Prana, Tejas and Ojas offer a subtler way of looking at vitality — movement, transformation and nourishment.

They aren’t simply three things you need to “increase.” Their qualities need to be understood in context and in relationship with one another.

And perhaps this is one of the most beautiful things Ayurveda teaches us:

Health isn’t just about fixing what’s wrong.
It’s about cultivating the conditions in which life can express itself fully. 🌿

Autumn : when Pitta begins to aggravate and Vata starts to accumulate. 🍂

A season of balance. These foods help cool what’s risen and ground what’s building — sweet, warm, and nourishing, exactly what the body needs right now.

🎃 Pumpkin, zucchini, sweet potato
🍎 Stewed apple & pear, pomegranate
🌰 Soaked/ peeled almonds, pumpkin seeds, soaked dates
🧈 Ghee, olive oil, split moong dal

Eat with the season. 🌿

This is a general seasonal guide. If you have specific health concerns, please consult your doctor.

5 things you think you’re doing right, but Ayurveda looks at differently đŸŒ±

From daily raw salads to forcing 4 liters of water, many “healthy habits” can actually slow down your digestion and deplete your energy if they don’t match your body’s unique constitution (Prakriti).

Here are 5 common habits Ayurveda views differently:

Daytime Naps: Can slow digestion and create heaviness unless conditions require it.

Fruits with Everything: Food combinations matter—fruits are often best enjoyed on their own.

Daily Intense Workouts: Overexercising depletes energy; move according to your body’s capacity.

Raw Salads Daily: Cold, raw foods can dampen digestive fire (Agni)—warm, cooked meals are often preferred.

Excessive Water Intake: Hydrate based on thirst, climate, and activity level, not just a set quota.

Sesame seeds in Ayurveda — small seed, deep nourishment 🌿

Known as Til, sesame seeds are one of Ayurveda’s most treasured foods, especially as the weather turns cool and dry. Black sesame is considered the most potent and nourishing of all.

A few of their gifts:
Nourishes hair & prevents greying
Deeply grounds Vata
Builds strength & stamina
Warms the body
Supports reproductive health
Supports healthy skin
Calms the nervous system
Rich natural source of calcium
Relieves dryness
Supports mental strength

Simple way to enjoy: lightly dry-roast and chew a small spoon in the morning, or take with a little warm milk and jaggery đŸ„›

Best for Vata. Warming by nature, so those with high Pitta or Kapha are better having them in moderation, especially in hot weather.

Save this one for the season ahead 📌

The Four Pillars of Vedic Science 🌿

True wellbeing was never meant to be broken into pieces. The body and mind, your home and the cosmos, your breath and your inner self — all of it is one connected system. These four sciences are timeless tools for living in harmony with that whole.

Ayurveda — the science of life. It teaches you how to eat, sleep, and live according to your unique constitution, so your body becomes your greatest ally instead of your battleground.

Yoga — the science of union. Far beyond the postures, it’s the path that steadies the breath, calms the mind, and reconnects you to your true self.

Jyotish — the science of light. Often called Vedic astrology, it reads the cosmic timing of your life, helping you understand your gifts, your patterns, and the seasons you’re moving through.

Vastu — the science of space. It aligns your home and environment with the natural flow of energy, so the space you live in actually supports the life you’re building.

Four pillars. One goal — a life lived in harmony with nature, self, and cosmos. 🙏

Dr. Nikhita didn’t just study Ayurveda, she lived it.

A Bachelor’s in Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery in India. A Master’s in Psychological Wellbeing from Nottingham Trent, England. Years of teaching, treating, and quietly devoting herself to this ancient science.

Because she believes healing was never only physical. It’s mental, emotional, and rooted in how we actually live.

This September, she guides our first-ever course: The Ayurvedic Lifestyle Health Certification

A journey to understand your body, restore your balance, and learn to guide others on the same path.

Not just how to heal — but how to live in balance.
