Today we released Version 2 of Mood Diary.
Honestly, not everything turned out the way we wanted.
Some features arrived later than planned.
Some ideas worked worse than expected.
Some things still need improvement.
But we shipped.
And that's what matters.
As founders, it's easy to hide behind perfectionism. There's always one more feature to build, one more screen to redesign, one more detail to polish.
The problem is that users don't benefit from products sitting in our backlog.
They benefit from products that exist.
Over the last few months, I've been reminded of a simple truth:
Perfection doesn't create learning.
Users do.
Every release gives us feedback.
Every user interaction teaches us something we couldn't learn inside our own heads. This is exactly why startup teams often prioritize shipping and learning over endless polishing.
So today we're celebrating progress, not perfection.
