As the training of the Filmmaking Academy at Creative Hub continues, participants were broken down into teams of four, each working on selected scripts to develop and translate stories into structured visual productions.
This session focused on what happens before filming begins, where ideas are carefully analyzed and shaped into clear production plans.
Participants explored selected scripts in depth, breaking them down into scenes and sequences, understanding narrative flow, and translating written stories into visual thinking. The process helped them see how every shot, every scene, and every transition is built long before the camera starts rolling.
The focus was on structure, planning, and working together, showing that filmmaking is not only about capturing images but about designing them with intention and scheduling the details from the very beginning.
The initiative is part of ‘Support to Youth and Women through the Development of Products, Services and Public-Private Partnerships’ Program funded by Italian Agency for Development Cooperation & implemented by UNIDO, in partnership with Ministry of Labour and Skills of Ethiopia.
