Lead Medical Laboratory Technologist

We are seeking skilled, motivated, and experienced Medical Laboratory Technologists to play a key role in the laboratory operations.

Main Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing, coordinating, standardizing, and managing laboratory operations with full compliance with professional and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications
MSc in Medical Laboratory Science
Valid license as a Medical Laboratory Technologist
Proven experience in laboratory operations or management

Ability to work independently and take initiative in a dynamic, start-up environment
Research experience is an advantage

Research Assistant position
(duration: 3 months)

We are seeking a motivated research assistant to support our initiatives in sustainable food systems, with a particular focus on urban farming and poultry management. The Research Assistant will provide technical and operational support to research activities, data collection, and field interventions related to urban farming and poultry

Key responsibilities
Assist in research design, data collection, and analysis.
Document urban farming and poultry activities, including lessons learned.
Support training sessions, workshops, and field visits.
Prepare reports, presentations, and knowledge products.
Liaise with community members, schools, and partners to facilitate activities.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in agriculture or veterinary
Experience in urban farming and/or poultry activities
Excellent communication skills in English and Amharic (other local languages an asset).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Key Competencies
Practical problem-solving and organizational skills.
Interest in sustainable food systems and community-based interventions.
Ability to work independently and take initiative
