I didn’t expect Odoo setup to test my patience like this 😅
At first, everything felt smooth. Installation done. Steps followed. I was actually confident for once.
Then suddenly 💥
The database manager stopped working, and a security warning kept showing up that made no sense to me.
I went back and forth for a long time:
Restarted the server
Checked settings again
Even assumed I broke the whole setup 😭
Nothing changed.
After all that stress… the issue was ridiculously simple 👇
My odoo.conf file wasn’t placed in the correct location.
One small detail. That’s it.
And it was blocking the entire system.
The moment I fixed it, everything ran perfectly like nothing ever happened.
What this reminded me:
✔ In Odoo, small setup details matter a lot
✔ Most “big errors” are actually simple mistakes
✔ Don’t rush to reinstall or panic
✔ Always check config paths carefully before anything else
