Midsummer is generally celebratedby being in nature or by the water and taking in the almost 24 hours of sun during the longest days of the year.

Today we have a “Goal in Focus” from yours truly! The Smart Break Team.

Our goal this week (really in all weeks) is ‘Creating Good Habits’

The way that Smart Break is set up is to build a routine by scheduling breaks which results in creating a habit of movement.

Habits are how we live our life, they give us good structure, and allow us peace of mind.

A habit can be anything.

Drink more water. Take a microbreak at work 2x a day. You name it.

Some suggestions on how to form a habit:
✅: Write it down
✅: Tell someone about it
✅: Set reminders on your phone

No better time than now to creating a good habit.

This week’s 3️⃣ Goals comes from Satu Kyröläinen   

Satu works as a Lead Designer & Wellbeing Coach at Solidabis Oy, which provides services in software development, process development and service design.

She also enjoys creating videos, making cartoons and her part-time job as a fitness instructor.

Her 3️⃣ goals:
1. Dance
Take dance breaks. Dancing both moves your body and boosts your mood. It's healthy and fun!

2. All feelings OK.
There are no right or wrong feelings. They are all ok and give you information about your status. You can then decide if and how you want to act upon them. Dancing helps in most situations 😉. 

3. Be present.
Instead of dwelling in the past or worrying about the future, try to focus on present moment. Gently accept whatever is here and now. Breathe and just be in your body.

Today is World Health Day 🌎❤️

While there will always be ongoing health related issues the World Health Organization has put focus toward "creating societies focused on well-being" for this year's World Health Day.

Creating societies and communities that stress the importance of well-being (both mental and physical) give us chance for equal opportunity in health now and in the future.

We are advocates of well-being and are happy to have an effect on health and wellness through motivation and movement.

Monica has an extensive career in sales, marketing, PR, event management, and corporate wellness.

For many years she has worked on designing and implementing wellness programs.

She is a firm believer that a health employee is a happy and more productive employee.

Her 3️⃣ Goals:

1. HIIT Workout 3x 💪
2. Soak up some sun ☀️
3. Quality home cooked food 🥗

Monica is focusing on aligning her life with her dreams and these goals make that possible. 👏
