Our Hope Centre Fiji team has been hard at work preparing prosthetic limbs for patients in Vanuatu — and today, they’re officially ready for trial and fitment.

Each prosthesis has been carefully crafted to restore mobility, confidence, and independence for those waiting to begin their rehabilitation journey.

Meet Ruci Serea Napolioni from Suva City — taking her first steps toward renewed mobility! 💙🦿

Ruci visited Hope Centre Fiji to explore her prosthetic options, and chose a below‑knee gel liner prosthesis designed for comfort, support, and easier everyday use.

She’s also making history with us — the first below‑knee amputee at Hope Centre Fiji to receive a gel liner prosthetic.
A milestone for Ruci, and a milestone for our team. 🙌✨

Step by step, confidence grows at Hope Centre Fiji 🦿✨

Today our team worked with this patient on gait training — the careful, guided practice of learning to walk safely and comfortably with a prosthetic limb.

With every session, he’s building strength, balance, and trust in his new limb. Our technician walks beside him, offering support, correction, and encouragement as he learns how to place each foot, shift his weight, and move forward with stability.

These moments may look small, but they are life‑changing — each step is a victory, each stride a new beginning. 💙

💙 A beautiful moment from today’s work at Hope Centre Fiji 🦿✨

Our technician is helping this patient using a method called donning through a distal opening — you’ll notice the socks being pulled through the bottom of the prosthetic socket.

This technique is used when someone has difficulty pushing their limb fully into the socket. By guiding the socks through the distal opening, we help the residual limb slide in smoothly and seat properly, making the fit more comfortable and secure.

Every careful step like this brings our patients closer to confident, comfortable mobility - and that’s why we’re here. 💙

Today at Hope Centre Fiji, we witnessed pure determination 💪✨
This amazing gentleman is learning to walk again after bilateral hip disarticulation, practicing confidently along the bars with one prosthetic leg while the other rests in his wheelchair until he’s ready for both.

Our team stood right beside him - supporting, encouraging, and celebrating every step ❤️
